If you plan to dig for any reason, contact the Dig Line to find out if there are any buried utilities or wires on your planned dig site. With one simple phone call, all companies, organizations and citizens of the city of Saint John can access a free, comprehensive utility notification service. Knowing before digging can prevent injury and avoid costly repairs.
The Dig Line is comprised of 6 members:

Call the Dig Line at 1-866-344-5463 (1-866-DIG-LINE). Your request for a locate will be processed within 2 working days. Dig Line will forward this request to its members, each of who will contact you according to their own procedure, either by phone or by fax. Any buried utilities or wires will be marked so as to ensure safe digging.
