Here are some interesting facts:

  • It’s a free service.
  • Info-Excavation is a non-profit organization.
  • Not all underground network owners are members of Info-Excavation. Please consult our membership list.
  • Requests are processed within three (3) business days upon receipt. During busy periods (April-June and August-October), the requests are processed depending on the excavation start date.
  • Your request has a 30 day validation period coming into effect at the excavation start date written on the locate request. If excavation work is not done by then, you must have your request reactivated.

Our technical support service is available at all times.

Info-Excavation can process your request 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Our regular office hours are from 6 am to 11 pm, Monday to Friday and from 8 am to 5 pm on Saturdays. However, locate request can be placed at all times through our website.

As for emergency locate request the service is available 24/7.

It is mandatory for all emergency locate request to be done by phone. By emergency, we mean excavation work needed to maintain or restore essential services or work done to prevent a potentially hazardous situation from happening that could put the public’s safety at risk.

Our company has the responsibility to protect the networks of its member companies at all times.
