Work site
In order to process a locate request, clients must provide the following information via phone, fax, or our online form:
- The municipality where the work is being carried out
- The address or street on which the work is being carried out
- The nearest intersection
- The type of work being carried out
- The work start date
- Additional details on where the work is precisely being carried out (sidewalk, street, side of street, front lot, back lot, etc.)
Sketch
Please note that a sketch isn’t not required to process a locate request. However, if a sketch is attached to the request, Info-Excavation will make sure that it corresponds with the details of the fax or online form (address of the work site). If it doesn’t, the following note will be indicated on the request sent to member companies to minimize marking error risks: The information provided does not correspond to the sketch.
